We offer the Balanced Body Instructor Training Program, and are proud to be the only Authorized Balanced Body Training Center in the St. Louis area.

Rebecca Milton, co-owner of MAP Pilates and Balanced Body Educator, has more than 10 years of teaching experience with clients and Pilates teacher trainees. She brings a uniquely integrated and anatomical approach to movement education. Known for her clarity, compassion, and enthusiasm for anatomy- she believes that movement can be medicine for the body and mind. She is committed to helping people deepen their understanding of their bodies through thoughtful, purposeful practice.

Teacher Training FAQ

    • When will I receive all of the information?

      • You will receive a final logistics email with hours, materials and other important details by the Wednesday before each course.

      • These emails will come from justbpilates@gmail.com. Please mark that email address as important so you don’t miss any communication from us.

    • What should I bring to a workshop?

      • Please bring your manual (hard copy or digital), notebook, writing utensil and water bottle.

      • For Mat Courses- Bring a mat. Sticky socks are optional.

    • What is AI3D Anatomy at MAP?

      • Designed for all experience levels, Balanced Body’s Anatomy courses cover human anatomy in user-friendly formats. You will learn the anatomical architecture and biomechanics that make human body movement possible.

      • “AI3D” offers an engaging hands-on approach to learning anatomy. Students mold clay onto our to-scale model skeletons to learn where the major muscles of movement originate, where they insert, and how they produce motion. This multisensory learning experience will engage, enlighten, and satisfy your curiosity about human anatomy.

      • Completion of an anatomy course is required before testing out of the Pilates instructor certifications.

    • Each BB Teacher Training Course is $600.

    • $60 BB manual fee.

    • $75 CLARA online access fee.

      • The manuals and online access fees are required and cannot be waived.

    • Fees are for both in person and virtual training.

    • Registration can be completed by visiting the official BB Education Finder.

    • General Course Hours:

      • Friday 11:00AM-7:00PM

      • Saturday 11:00AM-7:00PM

      • In addition, you will be given two hours of required homework outside of these course hours.

    • I can’t make the workshop as scheduled or I’m unexpectedly late…What do I do?

      • If you need to miss up to five hours of course time, you can make these hours up with paid private sessions. Rates are as follows:

        • 5 Sessions: $375.00

        • Single Session: $75.00

    • Do you offer private instruction?

      • Yes. Each Private Education course includes 10 hours of private sessions, four hours guided homework + the Module Test. You may take single courses privately or complete the entire program privately.

    • How do I set up private Instruction?

      • Contact Rebecca for a consultation to determine if private education is a good fit for you.

      • Private courses are scheduled at your convenience with Rebecca and our Education Team.

      • Sessions can be completed via Zoom or in person.

    • What is the cost for Private Training?

      • $750 per course payable directly to studio.

      • The Balanced Body Registration through www.pilates.com.

        • Each BB Teacher Training Course Official Registration is $600 plus the $60 manual fee and a $75 CLARA online access fee.

    • When will I receive my certificate of completion for the training modules?

      • Certificates for each course will be sent via email from

        BALANCED BODY when they are finished processing the course rosters and documents. This can be up to three weeks after the course. Any questions regarding the status should be sent directly to Balanced Body at education@pilates.com.

    • Is there a time limit to completion?

      • A Balanced Body Comprehensive Pilates program typically takes 6 to 24 months to complete, with many students finishing in roughly 10–12 months. It requires over 500 hours of coursework, personal practice, observation, and student teaching. While no strict time limit is enforced, the program focuses on thorough competency and should be completed in a timely and progressive manner.

    • Do I have to take each workshop sequentially?

      • The program is designed to be modular, allowing you to take courses one at a time and spread training out to fit your life, work or budget.
