I am a lifelong learner, and my obsession is the human body. I have been teaching Pilates since 2010 when I went through the Balanced Body teacher training program. In 2015, I trained to become a Balanced Body Master Instructor and have taught the Comprehensive Teacher Training Program since that time.
I continue to study anatomy and movement and strive to educate my clients, future Pilates teachers, and anyone who will listen that movement is medicine. My mission is to help clients of all ages to achieve a healthy balance between self-improvement and self-acceptance and gain an understanding of their bodies through exercise.
I love working with people and being a Pilates teacher. I’m so grateful to be able to do what I do.

I took my first Pilates class in 2005 and was hooked! It became my passion and I have continued to hone my skills since then. After working behind a desk for over a decade, I decided to take a leap and change my career to something I truly love.
In 2015, I began the Balanced Body teacher training program where I gained a deep understanding of how the body moves and how to strengthen my muscles and mind. I call Pilates my therapy. It’s my happy place. I am always learning and exploring the Pilates principles to bring more to my client sessions. Nothing makes me more excited than when a student has that “Aha!” moment to take the exercises to the next level or tells me they have less pain because of our work together.
When I’m not teaching or doing Pilates, you will likely find me hanging out at the ice rink with my husband. It brings me so much joy to watch our two boys play hockey!

I was raised in the beautiful (though dark and rainy) state of Washington where I was a typical office drone working at the University of Washington. After meeting my husband, Ben, at the university; my path to finding Pilates began.
Before our wedding in 2010, Ben and I worked with a personal trainer who recommended Pilates to me. Pilates was completely intriguing, and hindsight shows a big turning point in my life. It has taught me how to walk, sit, lift and carry items. Pilates has literally taught me how to live in my vessel in a way no other discipline can.
Due to our active duty military lifestyle, I have worked through (and had to pause) several different training programs including Power Pilates and Balanced Body. I've taught in a country club and ballet studio in Memphis, TN; a studio in Columbus, OH; and on my personal studio Reformer/Tower with friends. We even spent over three years in beautiful Japan, a place I miss every day. I'm currently working on completing the Bridge program into Balanced Body and testing nationally by the end of 2025.
Pilates is one of the key therapies I use to manage chronic pain. Without regular practice I become almost paralyzed from soft tissue pain and unable to perform basic life requirements. My goal is to help others find and maintain regular practice of this incredible method of Returning to Life!
Currently, I live in Belleville with my husband, Ben, daughter, Audrey, and four rescue cats Cosmo, Sasha, Tinker, and Rutabaga (Rudy!) I enjoy making jewelry, reading and listening to music of almost all genres.
Classical to contemporary, archival to Instagramable, all Pilates is good Pilates in my book!

My Pilates journey began in 2023, but my lifelong love of movement and learning about the human body began much earlier!
Growing up, I was a competitive dancer with a strong passion for ballet and contemporary styles. My curiosity about movement and anatomy developed from there, and I went on to study and receive my doctorate in physical therapy in 2017. Moving into the workforce as a rehab professional, I was always seeking new ways to optimize movement for clients and find personal growth in my own fitness journey.
I completed a Barre certification program in 2020, and unlocked a new passion for teaching group fitness classes. A few fellow Barre instructors also taught Pilates, and after casually attending some of their classes at other studios, I realized I needed to know much more. I am a firm believer that Pilates is for everyone. Regardless of where you are in your healing or fitness journey, Pilates can benefit you by strengthening your body awareness and establishing a mind-body approach to wellness.
I am currently working as an Apprentice Instructor here at MAP while pursuing my comprehensive certification through Balanced Body with Rebecca's insightful mentorship. I could not be more excited to be a part of this team!

My personal Pilates journey began with the desire to relieve the chronic shoulder pain I was experiencing. I began looking for a new direction to alleviate my discomfort, which lead me to Pilates. The exercises I was introduced to started targeting muscles I didn't even know I had! I became increasingly aware of improvements in my movement and breathing. There was even noticeable increases in my strength as well as my balance. I love how Pilates can accommodate my unique needs. The way the workouts activate the muscles and joints at a deeper level than other workouts I had previously tried. Experiencing these benefits first hand got me fired up to help others with their physical journeys as well. I'm passionate about helping clients improve themselves through Pilates, and increase their self care in a fun and healthy way. I feel blessed to be a part of MAP Pilates.

Purposeful movement, meaningful balance and connection, lifelong learning, and playful fun with adventure have been key in my life. Then I had the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) that challenged all that and more. Pilates became a part of my solution to reclaim daily living. Now I am a TBI survivor who is passionate about the practice of Pilates and the benefits one can receive in that practice. Pilates is a way of life for me. I want to share this restorative practice with others.

My Pilates journey began in 2018 when I was seeking forms of exercise that were fun and sustainable. I had tried so many things that I later abandoned, mostly because they were too strenuous, exhausting, or boring. Growing up, I loved dance, roller skating, bike riding, swimming, and tumbling. Being on Pilates equipment reminded me of those things; a Pilates studio is like a playground for grown-ups! Pilates has been an integral part of my mental and physical wellness journeys, and I look forward to helping others use Pilates to enhance their personal growth as well.

I started out teaching group fitness and moved into personal training where the years of high impact started to take a toll on my body. I knew I needed a change, so I completed my 200 hour yoga certification. But, I was still searching for something.
I started my mat journey under Kahley Schiller in KC (you may know her from training the CHIEFS!). I then moved to St. Louis from Columbia and met Rebecca Milton and knew I was home. I continued on with Balanced Body under her guidance to become comprehensively certified.
When I realized that with all of my injuries I could move pain free, I became passionate about helping people find their strength while moving pain free. Motion is lotion! I am committed to sharing my passion of Pilates while continuing to learn more and more to bring that knowledge to my clients, tailoring their sessions to meet their needs and goals.
When I am not in the Pilates studio, I am enjoying time with my blended family, my husband and our pups.
